PRODUCT OVERVIEW & FEATURES
Splice Tape is a patented, black, butyl-based, permanently pressure-sensitive, fully cured tape for single-ply roofing membrane.Splice Tape is available in standard roll form in widths of 3”, 4”, and 6” at a nominal thickness of 0.035”. Other widths and thicknesses are also available on a special order basis.
All products are supplied on a high strength, specially formulated release liner.

Splice Tape was specifically developed for the use with EPDM single-ply roofing membrane. However, it adheres well to most types of roofing membranes as well as to other materials used in construction including painted and unpainted metals, brick, ceramic, wood, rubber, vinyl, and concrete.
APPLICATION
All surfaces to be bonded should be clean and dry. Single-Ply Primer / Wash is recommended to prepare surfaces for bonding. See the Single-Ply Primer / Wash technical data sheet for the method of application for this product.
HANDLING
Splice Tape contains ingredients that could be harmful if mishandled. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided, and necessary protective equipment and clothing should be worn. Viking Products Group maintains Safety Data Sheets on all of its products. Safety Data Sheets contain health and safety information for your development of appropriate product handling procedures to protect your employees and customers. Safety Data Sheets should be read and understood by all of your supervisory personnel and employees before using products in your facilities.
RECOMMENDED STORAGE
Splice Tape is a cured product, and will not degrade in normal warehouse storage. In time, due to the aggressive adhesion of this product, the release liner may become difficult to remove. For this reason, the recommended shelf life is 12 months. Store indoors, out of direct sunlight between 60˚ F and 80˚ F. Always rotate stock.
DISPOSAL
Dispose of empty containers, application tools and any product waste in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
