PRODUCT OVERVIEW & FEATURES<\/strong>
EPDM Cover Strip consists of a semi-cured EPDM membrane that has been laminated to a 25 mil EPDM based pressure sensitive tape. This tape is comprised of vulcanized rubber adhesive that will provide OEM quality performance for EPDM single-ply restoration projects.
<\/span><\/p>\n

BASIC USE<\/strong><\/span>
EPDM Cover Strips are designed to cover, protect, and <\/span>seal mechanical fastening bars, membrane fasteners, <\/span>core sample repair patches, membrane repairs, and <\/span>seam overlays in all EPDM roofing systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

SURFACE PREPARATION<\/span><\/strong>
All work surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of dirt, <\/span>dust, debris, oils, un-adhered coatings, deteriorated <\/span>membrane and other contaminants that may result in a <\/span>surface that is not sound or is uneven. If necessary, clean <\/span>the surface to receive cover with an approved EPDM <\/span>membrane cleaner.<\/span><\/p>\n

APPLICATION<\/span><\/strong>
1. Clean entire surface where EPDM Cover Strip will be <\/span>applied.<\/span>
2. Apply EPDM primer to entire surface to be covered <\/span>using the supplied scrub pad. NOTE: Use caution when <\/span>installing at temperatures below 40oF (4oC) to prevent <\/span>blushing of EPDM primer (formation of condensation on <\/span>surface of primer).<\/span>
3. Allow the primer to dry to the touch (no material transfer, <\/span>typically less than 20 minutes). Dry time will vary <\/span>depending on ambient temperature and humidity.<\/span>
4. Once the primer is dry immediately install EPDM Cover <\/span>Strip.<\/span>
5. Position Cover Strip over primed area and remove <\/span>release liner at 45 degree angle while pressing down <\/span>cover strip by hand.<\/span>
6. Roll the Cover Strip with a 2\u201d (5.08cm) wide silicone <\/span>roller.<\/span>
7. Seal edges of cover detail with patented EPDM Edge <\/span>Sealant.*<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to working with this or any product consult product <\/span>label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for necessary health <\/span>and safety precautions.<\/span><\/p>\n

COLOR<\/strong> – <\/span>Black<\/span><\/p>\n

LIMITATIONS<\/span><\/strong>
\u2022 Not for use on PVC roof membranes.<\/span>
\u2022 Do not use for detail flashing applications.<\/span>
\u2022 Talc, dust, oil, ice, snow, or wet conditions inhibit good <\/span>adhesion. Clean and dry surfaces are necessary for proper <\/span>installation of this product.<\/span><\/p>\n

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE<\/span><\/strong>
Store material in original unopened packaging at <\/span>temperatures between 40\u00b0F-110\u00b0F (4\u00b0C – 43\u00b0C). Shelf life <\/span>is 24 months when stored as recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n
