PRODUCT OVERVIEW & FEATURES<\/strong>
EPDM Flashing Tape consists of an uncured EPDM membrane that has been laminated to a 25 mil EPDM based pressure sensitive tape. This tape is comprised of vulcanized rubber adhesive that will provide OEM quality performance for EPDM single-ply restoration projects. EPDM Flashing Tape is extremely flexible and can be formed to fit irregular shapes and surfaces. Due to the exceptional strength of the vulcanized rubber adhesive, EPDM Flashing Tape will not shrink, bridge, or delaminate due to stress or movement in the roofing system.
<\/span><\/p>\n

BASIC USE<\/strong>
EPDM Flashing Tapes are ideal for fl ashing rooftop penetrations and other details such as:
\u2022 Overlay at T-joints, corners, pipes, and penetrations
\u2022 General repair in non-traffic areas
\u2022 Gravel stop fl ashing
\u2022 General purpose fl ashing
\u2022 Metal edge tie-in
<\/span><\/p>\n

SURFACE PREPARATION<\/strong>
All work surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of dirt, dust, debris, oils, un-adhered coatings, deteriorated membrane and other contaminants that may result in a surface that is not sound or is uneven. If necessary, clean the surface to receive cover with an approved EPDM membrane cleaner.
<\/span><\/p>\n

APPLICATION
<\/strong>1. Clean entire surface where EPDM Flashing Tape will be applied.
2. Apply EPDM primer to entire surface to be covered using the supplied scrub pad. NOTE: Use caution when installing at temperatures below 40oF (4oC) to prevent blushing of EPDM primer (formation of condensation on surface of primer).
3. Allow the primer to dry to the touch (no material transfer, typically less than 20 minutes). Dry time will vary depending on ambient temperature and humidity.
4. Once the primer is dry immediately install EPDM Flashing Tape.
5. Position Flashing Tape over primed area and remove release liner at 45 degree angle while pressing down cover strip by hand.
6. Roll the flashing with a 2\u201d (5.08cm) wide silicone roller.
7. Seal edges of flashing detail with Pliobond Lap Sealant.

Prior to working with this or any product consult product <\/span>label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for necessary health <\/span>and safety precautions.<\/span><\/p>\n

LIMITATIONS<\/span><\/strong>
\u2022 Not for use on PVC roof membranes.<\/span>
\u2022 Not for use in high traffi c areas.<\/span>
\u2022 Talc, dust, oil, ice, snow, or wet conditions inhibit good <\/span>adhesion. Clean and dry surfaces are necessary for proper <\/span>installation of this product.<\/span><\/p>\n

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE<\/span><\/strong>
Store material in original unopened packaging at <\/span>temperatures between 40\u00b0F-110\u00b0F (4\u00b0C – 43\u00b0C). Shelf life <\/span>of 9 months when stored as recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n
