GreenWeld AS is a paintable, fast curing, single-component adhesive\/sealant for GreenWeld PVB system application. GreenWeld A\/S delivers tough, elastic sealing performance, with excellent adhesion to steel, aluminum, wood and glass. GreenWeld A\/S is solvent and isocyanate free. GreenWeld is intended for use on interior and exterior joints, including roofing, expansion wall, panel wall, window frames and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

APPLICATION<\/span><\/strong>
Ease of Installation<\/span>
\u2022<\/span>Single component high solids formula<\/span>
\u2022<\/span>Easily gunnable between 40o F and 100o F (4.4o C and 37.8o C)<\/span>
\u2022<\/span>Cures rapidly to reach optimum strength within 7-14 days, fully cured within 21 days<\/span>
\u2022<\/span>GreenWeld A\/S can be installed on damp surfaces which are defined as when no moisture is transferred to the skin when the substrate is touched.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viking Products Group highly recommends that coated substrates be tested for proper adhesion prior to starting a project to determine suitability for use.<\/span><\/p>\n

Standard:<\/strong> Remove all dirt, oil, loose paint, frost and other contamination from all working surfaces. Maintain GreenWeld A\/S at room temperature before applying to ensure easy gunning and tooling. Test and evaluate to ensure adequate adhesion. Carefully gun the sealant with a smooth, continuous bead. If tooling is needed, do so within fifteen minutes of application.<\/span><\/p>\n

Metal:<\/strong> Prepare all metal to ensure maximum adhesion. Remove all rust, scale and residue using a wire brush. Remove films, loose or inappropriate coatings and oils with an appropriate solvent such as alcohol.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wood:<\/strong> Wood should be clean, sound and dry prior to application. Allow treated wood to weather for six months prior to application. Remove all coatings and paint to ensure proper adhesion. GreenWeld A\/S is not recommended for use on fire retardant lumber.<\/span><\/p>\n

Priming<\/strong>: In most applications GreenWeld A\/S will not require a primer. However, certain substrates may require a primer to ensure a long-lasting bond and weatherproof seal. It is the applicator\u2019s responsibility to determine whether or not a primer is needed in their specific application.<\/span><\/p>\n

Concrete:<\/strong> Prior to application remove any residual contamination by mechanical abrasion, sand blasting or power washing. On green concrete, remove all release agents, friable and loose concrete. Dry all visible and standing water prior to applying GreenWeld A\/S.<\/span><\/p>\n

SHELF LIFE & STORAGE<\/span><\/strong>
The shelf life for an unopened container is 10 months from the date of manufacture. Reference the date of manufacture on the bottom of tube. YYMMDD ex. 190522 is May 22, 2019.<\/span>
Store securely between 60o F and 80o F (15.6o C and 26.7o C) in unopened container. Keep tube tightly sealed. Dispose of contents\/ container in accordance with local, regional, national and international regulations. Refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for further information.<\/span>
Cleanup: Clean tools with mineral spirits, naptha, citrus-based cleaner or gel-based paint stripper. Avoid using water for cleanup.<\/span><\/p>\n

PRECAUTIONS<\/span><\/strong>
Do not use until all instructions and safety precautions have been read and understood. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace.<\/span><\/p>\n

IF ON SKIN: Wash exposed body areas with soap and water.<\/span><\/p>\n

IF IN EYES: Rinse with water, remove contact lenses and continue rinsing. If exposed, seek medical attention\/ advice. Refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for further information.<\/span><\/p>\n
