| METAL ROOF COATING SYSTEM - HOW IT INSTALLS |
The Topps® Roof Coating System 1000 installs a complete, seamless 100% rubber coating on metal roofs. Its light weight, and attention to reinforcement that includes every seam and fastener, enables total sealing without added weight load stress or punctures.
All of the Topps line of roofing products are totally waterless compounds ensuring that no rust can occur and eliminates damage from bird excrement and most other atmospheric chemicals that contribute to premature roof breakdown. All fasteners and seams are systematically reinforced with the RivetGuard spray-on compound, further assuring an effective seal against leaks and corrosion after completion of the Topps Seal® commercial roof coating system.|
Cleaning RustArrestor is applied using a plastic pump-up sprayer to any rust one day before power washing. Power washing afterwards readies the surface for installation. |

Reinforcing Seam and fastener sealing may be done manually or by spray using a (Graco or similar) 0.635 reverse-a-clean tip (no tip and low pressure for fasteners) using RivetGuard. Apply to all seams so joint disappears. Extra thickness is built where metal meets. Flashing grade Polyprene® is installed to seal flashings and gaps to 3/16". Reinforce all gap repairs and critical areas by installing PolyCore membrane nap (fuzzy) side down into Polyprene. |

Finishing The seamless Topps Seal® rubber roof coating is installed in 2 layers using a 0.631 tip or roofing brush. Apply in a smooth and even fashion. Allow 24 hours between coats. Topps Seal® Base Coat may be used for the 1st coat on white jobs. Colored roofs require 2 applications of Topps Seal for the best finish. After allowing two weeks to dry, walk entire roof surface and add additional material where needed. |
