TOPPS® Approved In Dade County Topps Seal®, elastomeric roof coating, made without water, has been awarded Miami/Dade County approval for use on metal roofs. Only products meeting the most essential requirements receive this distinguished seal of approval. Products used in this region must meet the most stringent performance and energy-saving capabilities due to the harsh environment and (often) seaside exposure. In meeting this requirement, Topps Seal exceeded the performance criteria for all competitive, water-based products, exceeding as well, the independent laboratory testing equipment capabilities as noted by the government approved laboratory’s testing report (copy available by request).  |

TOPPS® Earns CRRC® Recognition The increasing number of unsubstantiated products claiming energy efficiency has given rise to the need for an independent clearing house to verify that products are actually Energy Star®compliant and capable of meeting expectation of the greatest energy savings. The Cool Roof Rating Council®emerged in response to this need. Every product must undergo scrutiny of certified independent laboratories before it is awarded approval. CRRC product approval (not “membership” in CRRC) is required now by Title 24 for any roof covering product to be used legally in the state of California and elsewhere. Topps Seal® and Topps Seal® WB reflective roof coatings both carry the CRRC approval rating. |
TOPPS SEAL® - an Energy Star® Partner
The federal government, through the EPA and the Energy Star®program, recognizes products that meet compliance as capable of producing energy savings. All versions of Topps Seal elastomeric roof coatings (solvent and waterborne) meet all minimum standards and exceed them in most instances. The standard requires periodic updating of product testing which may or may not go unnoticed by sellers. Topps updates our data regularly. True Energy Star®products are those that can reduce summertime temperatures inside the building and result in energy savings and cool the surface – reducing the need for roof maintenance and helping eliminate the urban island affect. The Cool Roof Rating Council®is the national depository that recognizes certified products as complaint and current. |
